Jäy Etemovic is a Melbourne-based audio engineer, producer, and sound designer specializing in the atmospheric realms of horror and science fiction. Operating under What Remains… Audio, he dissolves the boundaries between music, immersive sound design, and storytelling.

His work focuses on projects with visceral identities, utilizing hardware synthesis and the tactile texture of analogue media like cassette and VHS to create sonic landscapes that feel lived-in and evocative. Rejecting clinical perfection, Jäy embraces the grit of machines with fingerprints and the beauty of sonic accidents.

This experimental philosophy drives both his client collaborations and original narrative works, such as the scored spoken-word series Dream Fragments. By blending modern production with physical effects, he seeks the distinct imperfections that make a story feel truly alive. Ultimately, his mission is centered on bringing strange things to life through sound.
